The brand new BSB50402 Diploma of Leadership and Management, this qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
This course focuses on developing initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring workloads and the workload of others, as contextualised to Educational Leadership and Management within the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. Graduates will use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements, plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.
Graduates of this qualification may undertake roles such as a Business, Human Resources or Learning and Development Manager.
This qualification is at Diploma level (AQF Level 5). It is expected that candidates will take between one and two years to complete this qualification – approximately one unit every four (4) to 8 (eight) weeks.
Depending on an individual learner’s:
- Existing knowledge and skills
- Ability to provide recent work examples that display the requirements of the unit of competency
- Existing units of competency which may be credited towards their completion of the program
A learner may complete the qualification in a shorter amount of time.
